Meeting RUNSA’s first female President

I had no idea I was up for a surprise upon returning to the office after an exhausting trip from a meeting earlier today. A senior colleague had called to ask that I come around when I was back at the office. He called again about an hour later that the person he wanted me to meet was still waiting. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea that someone had been waiting for me so I headed to his office to meet with the person.

We exchanged pleasantries and I apologised she had to wait for me that long. The conversations would go on to reveal a few interesting things. Like I did during my undergraduate days, she’s studying Mass Communication at the Redeemer’s University (RUN). I gave a gist about my time in RUN and voila…she’s the current first female president of the Redeemer’s University Students’ Association (RUNSA). It was such an elating moment.

We got to business; she needed some information for her dissertation and I was very glad to be of help in the brief interview she held. I’ve shared some of the pictures we took that evening.

It was really interesting to learn about her election and the experience so far. More power to your elbow, Madame President.
